Our first time in Bear Lake.  We lucked out and ended up having some good weather and hung out at the lake for a while.

Hippity Hoppity Hippity Hoppity

April 24, 2011

Despite the cold weather, the Easter bunny put is hat, mittens, coat (and whatever else you wear when it is freezing outside) on and paid us a visit.  The silly rabbit hid the boy's Easter baskets in the craziest places.  Dillon's basket ended up being behind the pea green chair (and it is a beautiful chair at that, if you are into the 1970's) tucked back in the corner.  Brenen's basket was in the bathtub.  The boys decided that the Easter Bunny must have gotten spooked by Hopper and got so scared he had to use the potty.  So he decided to dump the basket (no pun intended) in the bathtub!  The bunny also got into our fridge and hid our colored eggs all over the front yard leaving the open egg carton empty as can be on the front lawn.  What a little stinker!

Super Heroes to the Rescue!

April 23, 2011

The house was swarming with superheroes as they were called to a special meeting to defeat the mysterious birthday party villains! The boy's chose a superhero theme for their birthday party this year. So we rounded up a few of their little friends and saved the day!

The cake was made by Nana, the boy's Grandma who flew in from Boise just for the special event! Amazing and also tasty. Thank you once again, Nana!

Needing energy, Batman ate some blue frosting to help him defeat the mighty Juggernaut...so he says anyway!

War Machine, yes, I said War Machine (who is part of Iron Man just in case you are wondering!) just had to stuff his face with cake after fighting the bad guys!

These 5 year old superheroes really know how to throw a good birthday bash! Thank you everyone for coming to spend our special day with us!

Birthday, Birthday, Birthday!!!

April 20, 2011

We spent the boy's birthday at the Zoo which seems to be a tradition.  Braxton came along to also celebrate his birthday too.  So cool to have a buddy that shares the same birthday as you!!  Despite the cold and rain we still had a good time!

Let me just tell you, these boys are characters as you can see! They had to sit on most every statue and even stick their fingers up the poor gorilla's nose, which they found absolutely hilarious!!

Silly Boys

This is what happens when we try and get ready for bed. You know, take a bath, get jammas on, brush teeth and stick Q-tips in our ears.

Hopper Mommy

The other night I was getting the boys ready for bed and I heard them yelling, "Hopper Mommy, Hopper Mommy...Mommy come look at Hopper Mommy!" So I came into my bedroom and what did I see? The boys had put one of my necklaces around poor hopper's neck and were calling him "Hopper Mommy" because he was wearing one of my pretty necklaces!!!!  Poor dog!

It is kind of hard to see, but if you look carefully you can see the pretty pink necklace next to Hopper's collar.

Poor boy! So picked on!

Christmas '10

We had some serious preperations to do before Santa's arrival!

First, we had to put out the cookies. Not just any cookies, but Santa sugar cookies. Served with a side of strawberries and a glass of egg nog to top it off!

Second, the reindeer. The boys were very concerned about the reindeer getting enough food and water to keep them strong during their jouney. So, we made some reindeer food. It was a wholesome mixture of raw oats, sugar crystals and glitter. Glitter, you say? Well it shines in the moonlight and the reindeer can find your home easier. Oh, and the boys had to throw in a side dish of carrots and strawberries. Hopper was generous enough to let the reindeer use his water bowl for a refreshing drink of H2O.

Third, Christmas jammas. Got to have 'em. Can't get a wink of sleep on Christmas Eve without them!

Fourth, a bedtime story. The Night Before Christmas....a must. Again, can't get a restful sleep without it! And helps with dreams of sugar plumbs in your head...wierd.

Santa stopped by and only three people got coal in their stocking. Yes, Kashmir Toby...suprise! Hopper dog because he ran away and got thrown in jail...he still got a bone and a bed. And Daddy, 'cause he is a Grinch! The boys were overwhelmed with their choppers and Buzz Lightyears...we were able to take the choppers our for a test run!

It was a fun day and as always we are thankful for so many things in our lives...and realize that sometimes it doesn't always go as YOU planned it but how HE has planned it for you and that's okay. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happier 2011!
