Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas to everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day and just really savoured every moment spent with your family and friends. We had a surprise present of snow, snow, snow...all day. It was definitely a white Christmas for us this year. Christmas eve we went over to Papa's house and had our traditional bloody Marys with all the fixins'! They were delicious...cheers "Great" Grandma and Grandpa Green wherever you are-we miss you! We then went over to my cousin Dan's house and had a prime rib dinner-Jeremy and his hot and spicy horsy (hoarse radish) were in heaven! With full bellys and tired eyes we kidnapped G.G. for the night and came home and opened our Christmas jammies and read The Night Before Christmas. Brenen and Dillon each picked out a cookie for Santa and a carrot for the reindeer and left them in hopes he would get here soon. They woke up and the first thing Dillon asked was "Santa, cookie?" it was so cute! We put the jingle bell antlers on poor Hopper and ran our way down the hall to see a tool bench set with drills and saws and a "manly" kitchen set with play food just waiting to be played with. Daddy was happy to see that the boys took their drills over to the kitchen set and started to repair the sink! After opening presents we had the lovely Hadden family over to share some of Great Grandpa Kuntz's sticky rolls...fresh from the oven....so good! We decided to battle the snow and finally got to G.G.'s house and spent some time celebrating there and then headed over to Papa's house later to finish up the busy day!! I think the boys were totally overwhelmed with all the awesome presents they got...thank you everyone! They were so much fun this year. Just watching them really made our Christmas complete. We thank you all so much for all your love and support you give us. We love you all so much!

Dillon loved ripping the wrapping paper off the presents!

Brenen especially liked the Jolly Rancher candy canes that Santa so kindly left in our stockings!!

Cookies By Design....Kind Of!!!

We barely got to our yearly Christmas cookie decorating this year. We have been so busy with life that we were failing to remember what Christmas is all about. Why we get so caught up in so many "things" that (in the Grand scheme) really don't matter still baffles me....anyway, I wont get on my soap box about that. Once we figured our busy schedules out...we finally got over to the wild and crazy Traeden house for the big event this year. The boys had a blast as you can tell! We finished up the evening with an awesome dinner of fettuccine Alfredo (thanks Wendy for all your hard work!) and cookies for dessert!

Dillon has the glazed over look of a happy boy who has had a lot of frosting and a little cookie!!! The orange frosting was his favorite!!!

Brenen taking a break from his decorating to show us his beautiful green sprinkle smile!!!

Yummy!

Sweet Little Moment

Dillon and Daddy just tuckered out as can be!

SNOW DAYS

The boys have been loving the snow! We look forward to taking advantage of all this awesome Utah snow surrounding us! This year we'll stick to sledding, but next year watch out the little monkeys will be on skis!!

Christmas with Nana

Thank you, Nana, for coming to visit us from Boise. We had a fun time celebrating our Christmas with you. Thank you for all the wonderful Christmas gifts. We have already gotten good use of our "fast" shoes, play dough and Barney movie...of course!!! Mommy gets the giggles every time she watches it...we think she is still making fun of Barney and his "special" friends!!! And, boy, are they special!!!
Thank you for all the good memories, Nana. It was so good to see you again! We love you.
