Stella's Shining Stars

This beautiful little girl is Stella! She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in October of last year at the age of 6. We were honored to join Stella, her family and friends in the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Walk to Cure Diabetes. It was a fun little walk around Wheeler Farm and for an awesome cause. Stella...you truly are a shining star!


"Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved."
"Type 1 diabetes usually strikes children, adolescents, and young adults, but it can be diagnosed in adults as well. It comes on suddenly, causes dependence on injected or pumped insulin for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications."

Gone Fishin'

We had the opportunity to take the boys fishing with Papa "Tuntz" in McCall, Idaho this summer. It was a fun and memorable adventure!! And the fish tasted pretty darn good too. Thanks Papa "Tuntz" for such a fun day!!

We heard that Thomas the Train was passing through Heber so we packed up and went with a few of our little buddies to see if he really was there! We got Thomas tattoos and watches...and got to ride on Thomas the Train. The boys were even brave enough this year to walk up to Sir Topham Hatt; not so sure about shaking his hand but they did visit with him for a few seconds anyway!

WE TURNED 4!!!! We took the boys to the Hogle Zoo for their birthday and celebrated later that night with monkey and sunshine cupcakes, ice cream and presents of course! Later that week we had a Mickey Mouse birthday party with friends and family! Thank you, Nana, once again for making an awesome birthday cake!!

Easter 2010

Well as usual, I am way behind on my blog. But I figure better late then never, right! Easter brought us cold weather but a fun Easter egg hunt in Farmington with our friends Nicole, Travis and the ever so cute Braxton! Braxton was born the same day as the boys just one year later!!
